ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Iran–Israel relations

Iran and Israel are two countries that don't like each other very much. They're like two kids who always argue and never want to play together on the playground.

The reason for this is because of their past history and religious beliefs. Iran is a Muslim country and Israel is a Jewish country. Muslims and Jews have had disagreements for a very long time.

Furthermore, there are political issues as well. Iran's leadership doesn't recognize Israel as a legitimate country and has actively called for its destruction. They also support terrorist groups that have attacked Israel in the past. Israel, on the other hand, feels threatened by Iran's nuclear program and sees Iran as a dangerous enemy.

This has led to a lot of tension and hostility between the two countries. They don't have diplomatic relations and have been involved in several conflicts over the years.

So basically, Iran and Israel don't get along because they have different beliefs and because of politics.
