Iris pigment epithelium is what makes our eyes colorful like a rainbow. Just like how we color with crayons on paper, our eyes have tiny cells that color them too. These tiny cells are called the iris pigment epithelium.
Think of the iris pigment epithelium as a group of tiny workers wearing different hats. Some workers wear red hats, some wear blue hats, and others wear green hats. These workers are the ones responsible for coloring our eyes.
Their job is to add color to the part of our eyes that gives us our eye color. It's like they're painting or coloring a picture, but they're doing it inside our eyes.
Sometimes these workers get really busy and color parts of our eyes that they shouldn't. When this happens, it can cause problems with our vision. But usually, they're just working hard to give us our pretty eye colors.
