Irish Penal Laws

Irish penal laws are rules made up by people in charge a long time ago that were really mean to the Irish people. These rules made it super hard for Irish people to own land or have jobs they wanted. Some of the rules even said that Irish people couldn't go to school or practice their religion. These rules made life really unfair and hard for the Irish people. But thankfully, they were eventually thrown away and things got better for the Irish.
