ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Irish language outside Ireland

The Irish language is a way of talking that some people in Ireland use. It's kind of like how some people speak Spanish or French. But some people who are not in Ireland also speak Irish! This is because Irish people moved to other places in the world and brought their language with them. So, just like how you can learn Spanish in America or French in Canada, people in other countries can learn Irish too. They might have classes where they learn how to speak and write Irish, or they might have friends or family who already know how to speak it. Even though Irish is an important part of Ireland's culture, it's still cool that people all over the world can learn it too!
