ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Isaiah 16

Isaiah 16 is a chapter in a very old book called the Bible that tells stories from a long, long time ago. In this chapter, the writer Isaiah is talking to some people who live in a place called Moab. He's telling them that God is angry with them because they haven't been very nice to God's people, so they need to change their ways.

Isaiah tells the people of Moab that they should help out God's people who are in trouble. He says they should give them shelter and food and be kind to them. If they do this, God might not be so mad at them anymore.

Isaiah also talks about a king named David who was a very important person in the Bible. He says that David's family will always be important even though he's not around anymore.

In the end, Isaiah just wants the people of Moab to be good and do the right thing. He hopes that they will listen to his words and that God will forgive them.
