Islam during the Qing dynasty

Hi kiddo! So, back in the olden days when there were big empires ruling over different parts of the world, one of them was called the Qing Dynasty. This was a big empire that ruled over China and parts of Central Asia from around 1644 to 1912.

Now, during this time, there were many different religions and cultures that existed within the empire. One of these religions was called Islam, which was followed by some of the people living in the empire.

The Qing Dynasty emperor and government allowed for Muslims to practice their religion, but they also put some restrictions on them. For example, they were not allowed to build new mosques or religious schools without permission from the government.

Despite these restrictions, Islam continued to have a presence in the empire during the Qing Dynasty. Muslims were involved in trade and commerce, and many also fought in the military.

So, basically, during the Qing Dynasty, Islam was one of the religions that coexisted within the empire. While Muslims were allowed to practice their religion, there were some restrictions put in place by the government.
