ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Islamic democracy

Islamic democracy is a form of government where the laws and values of Islam guide the government, but people get to choose who makes the laws and how the laws are made. It's like a regular democracy, but Islamic values are more important. In a regular democracy people vote for a leader and that leader makes laws but in Islamic democracy people vote for people to make the laws. Those people make sure the laws are in line with Islam. The people also get to choose who is in charge of enforcing the laws.
