Italian Fascism was a type of government that ruled in Italy for many years. It was led by a dictator called Benito Mussolini, who wanted Italy to be powerful, strong, and proud. He wanted everyone to be unified, so he created laws and policies that were meant to make all Italians Unify. But sadly, his fascism also had a very dark, hateful side. He believed in extreme racism which meant that he thought Italians were better than other people, and he thought that Italians should discriminate against those of different races, cultures, and religions. Mussolini and the Fascists used violence and intimidation to enforce these views, and so people of different races, cultures, and religions were treated very badly. This extreme racism was one of the worst parts of Fascism and ended up leading to terrible events such as genocide, as well as other human rights violations.
