Iterator

An iterator is a tool that helps you keep track of where you are when you are looking at a list of things. For example, if you have a list of 10 things and you start at the beginning of the list and work your way through it, the iterator will let you know which thing you are looking at. It is like a counter that counts up each time you look at something new.
