Jūbako

Jūbako is a special type of lunch box from Japan. It is different from a regular lunch box because it has multiple layers or compartments stacked on top of each other. Each layer is usually a different size, and they all snap together to make one big box. Jūbako is often used for special occasions, like picnics or ceremonies, and the food inside is usually very fancy or decorative.

Think about when you play with building blocks. You can stack them one on top of the other to make a tower or wall, right? Jūbako is just like that, but with a purpose. Instead of building blocks, it's like building boxes that you can fill with yummy food.

Each layer of jūbako has a lid, so you can open each one to see what's inside. This is helpful because you can pack different types of food in each layer. Maybe you want sushi in the top layer, salad in the middle layer, and fruit in the bottom layer. You could even pack a little treat or toy for dessert in one of the layers!

Jūbako is really useful because it keeps all your different foods separate and prevents them from getting mixed up. Plus, it's really fun to open each layer and see what's inside. People in Japan have been using jūbako for a very long time, and they have become a special part of their culture.
