Jack and His Golden Snuff-Box
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jack. He had a very special box called a snuff-box, which was made out of gold. A snuff-box was a tiny little container that people used to carry around a special type of tobacco called snuff.
Jack loved his snuff-box so much because it was made of gold and it looked really pretty. He carried it with him everywhere he went and would often show it off to his friends. His friends also thought it was really cool and would often ask if they could hold it too.
One day, while Jack was out playing in the park, he accidentally dropped his snuff-box and it fell into a hole in the ground. Jack was so upset because he couldn't get his snuff-box back out of the hole.
But then, something amazing happened. A leprechaun appeared out of nowhere and offered to help Jack retrieve his snuff-box. But the leprechaun had one condition - he asked Jack to give him something of equal value in exchange for his help.
Jack thought about it for a moment and then remembered that he had a fancy watch that his dad had given him. So he gave the leprechaun the watch in exchange for his help.
The leprechaun was true to his word and helped Jack retrieve his snuff-box from the hole. Jack was so happy to have his snuff-box back and thanked the leprechaun for his help.
From that day on, Jack learned to be more careful with his treasured possessions and to always be grateful for the help of others.
