ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jain (Satvika)

Jainism is a religion that teaches people to have a peaceful and non-violent approach to life. In Jainism, there are three types of behaviors, or "gunas," that people can have: satvika, rajasa, and tamasa. Satvika behavior is the type of behavior that is considered the most peaceful, kind, and pure.

This means that people who have satvika behavior try to avoid hurting others, both physically and emotionally. They also try to live a simple and humble life, without being greedy or materialistic. Jainists believe that practicing satvika behavior can bring about inner peace and lead to spiritual enlightenment.

Some examples of satvika behavior might include things like helping others, treating people with respect and kindness, being honest, practicing self-discipline, and being grateful for what you have.
