Jan Gotlib Bloch

Jan Gotlib Bloch was a man who lived a very long time ago. He was born in Poland in the year 1836. Back then, there were no telephones, computers or even cars!

But Jan Gotlib Bloch was a very important man, even though he wasn't a king or a prince. He was what we call a "thinker." This means that he spent a lot of time thinking and coming up with ideas about how to keep countries safe during war.

You see, when people want to hurt other people or countries, they sometimes start wars. In wars, lots of people get hurt and lots of things get broken. That's not good, right?

Jan Gotlib Bloch thought a lot about how to stop wars from happening. He believed that if countries worked together and talked to each other instead of fighting, they could avoid wars. He also thought that it was important for countries to have strong armies so that they could protect themselves if they ever needed to.

Jan Gotlib Bloch wrote a book called "The Future of War" where he shared his ideas about how countries could be safe during war. Lots of important people read his book, and they liked it so much that they used Jan Gotlib Bloch's ideas to create a group called the "International Peace Bureau."

The International Peace Bureau's job was to help countries work together and talk to each other so that they could avoid wars. And all of it started with Jan Gotlib Bloch's good ideas!
