Jangmadang is a special kind of market in North Korea. People go to jangmadang to buy and sell things like food and clothes. The jangmadang is different from regular markets in other countries because it is made up of very small stalls that are run by ordinary people, not the government. People can come and go as they please, and the prices are much lower than what the government would charge. This makes it easier for people to get their basic needs taken care of in North Korea.
