Jet Age

The jet age is a time when planes started using engines called "jet engines" instead of "propeller engines". Jet engines work by sucking in a lot of air, compressing it, mixing it with fuel, and then igniting it to create a very strong and fast-moving current of hot air that propels the plane forward.

Before the jet airplane was invented, airplanes had propellers that spun around and pushed the plane through the air. But jet engines made planes go much faster and allowed them to fly higher, farther, and more efficiently. They also made a lot less noise and vibrations compared to propeller engines, meaning people could fly more comfortably and with less ear discomfort.

The jet age made travel faster and more accessible, as people could now fly across the world in a matter of hours rather than days, making vacations, business trips and visiting family, quicker and easier. The jet age revolutionized air travel and paved the way for the modern world, allowing for global trade and exchange of knowledge and knowledge professionals.
