ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jewish vegetarianism

Jewish Vegetarianism is when people who follow the Jewish faith choose to not eat animals or animal products. This means they don't eat any meat, like beef, chicken, and fish, or any dairy items like cheese and milk. Instead they just eat plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts. This choice is made because many Jewish people believe that animals should be respected and cared for, and eating animals goes against what they believe. It is also seen as a way to help keep the world healthier and more environmentally-friendly.
