John Bourn

John Bourn is a person who used to have a job called the Comptroller and Auditor General in the United Kingdom. This is a really important job because it means he was in charge of making sure that public money was being spent properly and that people weren't doing anything sneaky with it.

He was born a long time ago, in 1935, and he studied at a really good university called Oxford. After finishing that, he started working for the government in different roles.

In his job as Comptroller and Auditor General, John Bourn had to look at how the government was spending money and make sure they were following the rules. This included looking at things like how schools were being funded, how much money the military was being given, and how much hospitals were getting for their operations.

He was really good at his job and became very respected in the UK. He retired in 2008 and now enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
