John Crenshaw was a United States Navy Officer and Arctic Explorer. He led three Arctic expeditions, searching for a route to the North Pole. He was one of the first people to try and reach the North Pole. During his voyages, he and his crew braved the cold and harsh conditions of the Arctic to reach their destination. He also helped to discover some new land and animals in the Arctic region. He died in 1909, but his legacy lives on as an explorer and pioneer of Arctic exploration.
