Joseph Conrad

Joseph Conrad was an author who wrote mostly about exploration and adventure. He was born in Poland in 1857 and moved to England when he was in his early 20s. As a young man, he worked as a seaman on ships in the British Navy and he used his experiences to create stories. Many of his stories are set in faraway places and often involve exploring nature and the exotic world around him. He wrote books like Heart of Darkness and Lord Jim and he was a famous writer who is still read today.
