Joti Jot

Joti jot is a special tradition in a religion called Sikhism. It means "joining of lights". When someone who is very important in Sikhism dies, it is believed that their soul joins with a bright light. This light is supposed to represent the person's spirit and it is believed that this light can guide people going forward.

During joti jot, people come together to remember and honor the person who has passed away. They light candles or lamps to represent the bright light of the person's soul. This is done to show respect for the person and to remember them in a special way.

Joti jot is considered a very important event in Sikhism. It is a time to show love and respect for those who have passed away and to reflect on what they meant to people. People believe that the person's light will continue to guide them and will always be with them.
