Journeyman (boxing)

A journeyman in boxing is simply a fighter who has fought a lot of times against many different opponents, but has not become very famous or successful in winning big prize fights. Think of it like a kid who plays a lot of games with different friends, but doesn't win any big tournaments or trophies. These boxers are called journeymen because they have traveled all over to fight in different places, kind of like a journey. They are important in the sport because they help prepare other boxers for bigger fights by giving them experience and helping them improve their skills. Sometimes, journeymen can surprise everyone and win a big fight, but most of the time they are just happy to keep boxing and earning a living doing what they love.
