ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Judaism and sexuality

Okay, so you know how boys and girls feel different feelings in their bodies, right? Well, in Judaism, these feelings and actions related to them are talked about in a very special way. They are considered important and should be treated with respect and care.

Judaism teaches that sex is a good and important part of life, but it is something that should only be done between people who are married. This means that a boy and a girl should get married first and then they can do these things together.

Judaism also teaches that we should treat our bodies and the bodies of others with respect. This means that we should not touch or look at other people's private parts, except for our own spouse.

There are also some special laws in Judaism that govern things like when it is okay to have sex, what kinds of things are not allowed during sex, and how to act towards each other in a respectful way.

It is important to remember that every person is different and some people might feel different things about sex than others. But in Judaism, the main idea is to treat sexuality as something special and to always show respect to ourselves and others.
