Jukung

Jukung is a type of boat that people in Indonesia use for fishing or transporting things on the water. It is made out of wood and has a flat bottom and curved sides that almost look like a big banana. The boat is often brightly painted and decorated with pretty patterns. To move the jukung through the water, people use paddles, which are kind of like big spoons that they dip into the water and use to push the boat forward. Jukungs are very important to the people who live near the water in Indonesia because they help them catch fish and get around easily.
