ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Jury rigging

Jury rigging is when you fix things using whatever you have available instead of using the proper tools or materials. It's like when you don't have a hammer to nail something, so you use a rock instead.

Let's say you need to fix a broken toy car. You don't have any glue or tape, but you do have some string and gum. So, you tie the string around the broken parts and use the gum to stick everything together. That's jury rigging!

It's not the best way to fix things because it might not be very strong or last very long, but sometimes it's the only way to fix something in a pinch. Just remember, always try to use the right tools and materials if you can!
