Kafkaesque

Kafkaesque means something that is complicated, confusing, and that makes you feel uncomfortable or hopeless. It's named after a famous Czech author, Franz Kafka, who wrote stories about people being stuck in difficult situations that were out of their control. He wrote in a way that made it difficult to tell if things would ever get better or if they were doomed to feel stuck forever.
