ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kapampangan language

Kapampangan is a language spoken by people who live in the province of Pampanga in the Philippines. It's kinda like if you go to different places in the world, people speak different languages like English, Spanish, French or Chinese. In Pampanga, people speak Kapampangan and it's special because it has its own words and way of talking.

When you learn Kapampangan, you'll find that the letters and the way you say them are different than in English. For example, instead of 'c', they use 'k' and instead of 'j', they use 'h'. So instead of saying "how are you?" in English, they would say "kamusta ka?" in Kapampangan.

There are also different ways to show respect when speaking in Kapampangan. For example, if you're talking to someone who's older than you or someone you want to show respect to, you might add "apa" or "amo" at the end of their name or a phrase. It's kinda like them saying "Miss Sarah" or "Mr. John" in English.

Overall, Kapampangan is a cool language that people in Pampanga use to talk to each other. If you ever visit Pampanga, you might hear people speaking Kapampangan and it's always nice to learn a little bit of it to show that you respect their culture and way of speaking.
