Kendrick extrication device

Okay, kiddo, have you ever heard of a kendrick extrication device? It's a tool that helps rescue workers safely move someone who has been hurt in a car accident or another emergency situation.

Let's say someone is stuck in a car wreck and can't move their spine, neck or hips. If they are moved without support it could cause more damage, which could be very bad. That's where the kendrick extrication device comes in.

It's like a big cushion that goes under the person's lower back and hips. The cushion has straps attached to it that wrap around the person's body, holding them in place. The rescuers then use handles on the sides of the cushion to lift the person up and move them to a stretcher safely.

The kendrick extrication device is important because it helps make sure that the person being rescued doesn't get hurt even more in the process of being moved to safety.
