Key–value database

A key-value database is like a big toy box with lots of toys (called values) inside. But, instead of searching through the whole toy box to find a particular toy, you can just ask mommy or daddy (the database) where it is.

Each toy has a special name (called a key) that helps the database know exactly where the toy is. So, if you want your favorite stuffed animal, you just tell the database the special name and it will find it in the toy box for you.

It's much easier and faster than searching through the whole box by yourself! Plus, if mommy or daddy adds a new toy to the box, they just give it a special name (key) and tell the database where to put it.

So, with a key-value database, you can quickly and easily find and add toys to your toy box without any hassle!
