Khorovats is a special type of food that people from Armenia really love to eat. It's like a yummy barbecue where different kinds of meat and vegetables are cooked on a stick and grilled over a hot fire. The meat can be things like chicken, beef, or pork, and the vegetables can be things like peppers, onions, or tomatoes.
Before the meat and vegetables are cooked, they are marinated in a special sauce that makes them taste really good. The sauce is made from different spices, oil, and vinegar. Some people even like to add things like lemon juice or pomegranate juice to make the sauce extra tasty.
Once everything is marinated, it's put on skewers, which are like long sticks that hold everything together. Then it's time to grill! The sticks are put over a hot fire until the meat and vegetables are cooked all the way through and have a nice crispy outside.
When the khorovats is finished, it's taken off the skewers and put on a plate. Then everyone can enjoy it together with some bread, salad, and maybe even a little bit of yogurt. It's a really yummy and special meal that people in Armenia love to share with family and friends.
