Kiddush

Kiddush is a special prayer said by Jews when they get together to celebrate special holidays. The prayer is said over a cup of wine (or grape juice) and the person saying the prayer starts by blessing God. During the prayer, the person recites verses from the Bible that talk about how God created the world and provides for all our needs. After the prayer, everyone drinks the cup of wine or grape juice and then the celebration can begin.
