Kidnapping

Kidnapping is when someone takes another person away from their home or a safe place without their permission. It is like when your mom or dad takes you to school or the park, but without telling you where you are going or asking if you want to come along.

Kidnapping is a very bad thing to do because it can make the person being taken feel very scared and powerless. It's not okay to take someone away from their family or friends without a good reason, and it's against the law.

If you ever feel like someone is trying to take you away without your permission, it's important to tell a grown-up you trust right away so they can help you stay safe. If you see someone else being taken, you should also tell a grown-up as soon as possible so they can try to help that person.
