Kigilyakh

Kigilyakh is a type of traditional house that some people in northern Siberia, which is a very cold place, used to live in. These houses are made from animal skins and bones that are put together in a special way to make a warm and strong structure.

The animal skins used are usually from reindeer, which are like big deer that live in the Arctic, and they are sewn together so that they cover the bones of the house frame. The bones used are usually from reindeer or other animals that people hunted in the area. These bones are strong and can support the weight of the animal skin on top.

Kigilyakh houses have a special shape that helps keep people warm inside. They are usually round or dome-shaped, which means they don't have any corners or edges where cold air can get in. There is also usually a hole at the top of the house where smoke can escape from a fire that is used for heating and cooking inside.

People who lived in kigilyakh houses would have to work very hard to make them, but they were worth it because they provided a warm and safe place to live in an otherwise very cold and harsh environment.
