Knee arthritis

Knee arthritis is a condition that affects the knee joint, which is the place where your lower leg bone (tibia) meets your thigh bone (femur). When you have knee arthritis, the cartilage inside your knee joint wears away, which can make it hard to move your leg. The joint can become stiff and painful, and it can swell up. It can also be hard to do normal activities like walking, running, and playing sports. Treatment for knee arthritis usually involves taking medicines and doing exercises that can help make the joints in your knee move more easily. Sometimes, surgery may also be used.
