Knightly Virtues

Alright kiddo, let me tell you about knights and their virtues. Knights were people who were trained in fighting and were usually hired by a king or a lord to protect their land and people from harm. They had some very important qualities or virtues that made them respected and admired in their society. These virtues were:

1. Courage: This means being brave and not afraid to face danger. Knights had to be very courageous because they were always in danger of being hurt or killed during battles.

2. Honesty: Honesty means telling the truth and being fair. Knights had to be honest because they had to protect their honor and reputation. They couldn't lie or cheat because that would make them less respectable.

3. Loyalty: Loyalty means being faithful to someone or something, even when it's tough. Knights had to be loyal to their kings or lords, even if they didn't agree with them, and they had to be loyal to their fellow knights.

4. Justice: Justice means being fair and treating people equally. Knights had to make sure that everyone in their land was treated fairly and that their rights were protected.

5. Courtesy: Courtesy means having good manners and being respectful to others. Knights had to be courteous to people of all classes and show kindness to those who were weaker than them.

6. Wisdom: Wisdom means having good judgment and being able to make the right decisions. Knights had to be wise because they were often the ones who had to make important decisions for their king or lord.

So kiddo, these were some of the virtues that knights had to follow to be respected in their society. They were the protectors of their land and people, and they had to have these qualities to be successful in their role.
