Know-Nothing movement

The Know-Nothing Movement was a political movement that happened in the United States around the mid-1800s. This movement was called the "Know-Nothing" Movement because the members of the group said that they knew nothing when anyone asked them about their views or beliefs. The movement wanted to deport or keep out people that were seen as dangerous or different from traditional American values, such as immigrants. They also wanted to make restrictions on voting rights, so that people that had different views or beliefs could not vote. The Know-Nothing Movement eventually disappeared, since it was not popular with the people of the United States.
