"Know-how" is just a fancy way of saying knowledge about how to do something. Think about it like learning how to ride a bike. You first have to learn the know-how, or the knowledge, about how to balance, pedal, and steer. Once you know how to do it, you can ride your bike all by yourself without falling down! The same thing goes for adults who work in jobs where they need to know how to do something really well, like making really good coffee, fixing cars, or designing buildings. To be good at those jobs, they need to have lots of know-how about how to do things just right.
