ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Kopala

Kopala is a traditional dancing ceremony that is performed by the Bemba people of Zambia. It involves lots of drumming, dancing, and singing.

During the ceremony, men and women wear special costumes made from animal skins and feathers. They dance in circles around a central area, while musicians play drums and other instruments. The songs they sing are usually about their culture and history, and have been passed down from generation to generation.

Kopala is an important part of Bemba culture, and is often performed at weddings, funerals, and other important events. It is a way for the community to come together and celebrate their heritage.
