Korean independence movement

So basically there was this big country called Korea a long time ago. But then, Japan came in and said they wanted to take over Korea. The Korean people didn't like this and wanted to be their own country again, free from Japan's control.

So the Korean independence movement started, which was like a big group of people who were trying to get Korea to become its own country again. They did things like protests, marches, and demonstrations to show Japan that they didn't want to be ruled by them anymore.

Some people even went as far as to rebel against Japan and fight for Korea's independence. But unfortunately, the Japanese government was very strong and had a lot of power, so it was difficult for the Korean people to succeed in gaining their independence.

Eventually, after many years of fighting, negotiations and international pressure, Korea was able to gain its independence from Japan in 1945. This was a very important moment in Korean history, and the independence movement played a big role in making it happen.
