Kronig–Penney model

The Kronig–Penney Model is like a puzzle. It's a way to figure out what an electron inside an atom will do. Inside atoms, there are tiny particles called electrons. Electrons are like little balls that can bounce around inside the atom. In the Kronig–Penney Model, scientists can figure out exactly how the electrons will bounce around inside an atom. To do this, scientists come up with a puzzle that looks like two rows of boxes. Each box has a special property that makes it either easier or harder for the electrons to move through it. Then, depending on how easy or hard it is for the electrons to move through each box, scientists can figure out exactly where the electrons will go!
