Krummlauf

Okay kiddo, so a krummlauf is a special kind of gun barrel that is curved or bent.

The reason why someone would want to use a krummlauf is because it allows you to fire a gun around corners or obstacles without having to expose your entire body. It's kind of like being able to shoot a Nerf dart around a corner without having to peek out and risk getting hit yourself.

Now, there are some problems with using a krummlauf. When you bend the barrel of a gun, it can cause the bullets to become unstable and inaccurate. That means you might miss your target even if you're pointing right at it.

Also, since the barrel is curved, it can be harder to reload the gun. You can't just pop a new bullet in like you normally would - you have to do it in a special way because the bullet has to fit the curve of the barrel.

So while a krummlauf might seem cool because it lets you shoot around corners, it's not something you see very often because it's not always practical or accurate.
