Kuromitsu

Kuromitsu is a thick, sweet syrup that's often used in Japanese desserts. It's made by cooking down sugar, soy sauce, and molasses until it turns into a thick, caramel-like sauce.

Think of it like making a really yummy dessert sauce at home. You start by putting some sugar in a pot on the stove with some soy sauce and a dark, thick syrup called molasses.

As the sugar cooks, it starts to turn a lovely golden color and thicken up. You might have to stir it a few times to make sure it doesn't burn.

When it's done, you'll have a delicious sauce that's perfect for drizzling over ice cream, pancakes, or anything else you want to make a little sweeter.
