L'Anse aux Meadows
L'Anse aux Meadows is a place in Canada where people found the remains of an old Viking village from a long long time ago.
A long long time ago, before there were TVs or cars, some people from a place called Norway (which is far away from Canada) came to this place. They wanted to explore and find new land to live in.
When they got to L'Anse aux Meadows, they set up their own little village there. They built homes out of wood and had fires to keep warm. They also had tools to help them catch fish and make things they needed, like clothes and dishes.
But after a while, the Vikings decided to leave and go back to their home in Norway. They left behind all the things they had built and used in the village.
