Let's talk about LGBTQ stereotypes! So, some people think that all boys should like girls and all girls should like boys. But that's not true! Some boys might like other boys, and some girls might like other girls. And guess what? That's totally okay!
But sometimes, people have ideas or beliefs about LGBTQ people that aren't really true. These ideas are called stereotypes. Let's go through a few examples:
1. The first stereotype is about the way people look or dress. People might say that all gay men are very fashionable and love to wear make-up and dress fancy. But that's not true! There are many different ways that LGBTQ people can dress or look, just like anyone else. Some may like dressing fancy, but others may prefer something more casual.
2. The second stereotype is about voice or mannerisms. Some people might think that all gay men have a high-pitched voice or feminine gestures. But that's not true! Just like with appearance, everyone has their own unique voice and way of expressing themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation.
3. The third stereotype is about hobbies or interests. Some people might assume that if someone is LGBTQ, they must like certain things or be interested in certain activities. Like they might say that all lesbians love sports or all bisexual people are promiscuous. But guess what? People are all different!
