La Pelegrina pearl
Okay kiddo, today we're going to talk about something called the La Peregrina Pearl! It's a really old and special pearl that comes from the ocean.
Now, pearls come from something called an oyster, which is a type of creature that lives in the water. Sometimes, a little piece of sand or dirt can get stuck inside the oyster and it doesn't feel very good for the oyster. So, the oyster starts to cover the sand or dirt with something called nacre. Nacre is kind of like a shiny, slimy substance that the oyster makes.
Over time, the nacre builds up and turns into something we call a pearl! Pretty cool, huh?

They took the pearl back to Europe and it became really popular with a lot of famous and important people, like queens and kings.
