Labyrinth seal

Ok kiddo, have you ever played a game where you had to navigate through a maze? A labyrinth seal is kind of like that, but instead of a maze for a game, it's a special kind of seal for machines.

Machines sometimes have parts that need to move around a lot, like a spinning shaft. To keep everything working smoothly, we put something called a seal around the spinning part.

A labyrinth seal is a special kind of seal that has a lot of twists and turns in it, kind of like a maze. When the spinning part moves, it creates a kind of wind that blows through the twists and turns of the seal. This wind creates a barrier that keeps any bad stuff from getting inside the machine.

So a labyrinth seal is like a maze that helps keep machines safe and working properly. Pretty cool, huh?
