ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Laconic phrase

A laconic phrase means using very few words to communicate a message. It's like saying a lot with very little. Imagine you have a toy box full of toys, but you can only choose a few to play with. A laconic phrase is like picking the most important toys and leaving the rest behind. It's a way of getting your point across quickly without wasting any extra words. So instead of saying "I think we should go to the park because the weather is nice and we could have a picnic," you could say "let's picnic in the park." See how that's shorter but still communicates the same message? That's a laconic phrase.
