Lacrimal gland

The lacrimal gland is like a little sponge in your eye that makes tears to keep them clean and moist. Just like how you need to drink water to stay hydrated, your eyes need tears to stay healthy too. The lacrimal gland sits above your eye and makes tears that land on your eyeball like little raindrops. If your eyes feel dry or itchy, it means your lacrimal gland might not be working as well as it should be, and you might need to see a doctor to help you feel better. So, the lacrimal gland is like a little factory in your eye that makes tears to keep your eyes healthy and happy!
