Lalbagh Fort
Lalbagh Fort is a very old and special building in Bangladesh. It is like a big castle with lots of interesting things inside. Let me explain it to you like you are 5 years old.
So, a long time ago, there was a very powerful king named Aurangzeb. He wanted to build a grand and marvelous building to be his palace in the city of Dhaka. That building is now known as Lalbagh Fort.
The fort has big walls made of strong bricks and stones. These walls are very tall and thick, so nobody could come inside easily. There are also huge gates that act like doors to let people in and out. The king and his soldiers used to protect the fort and keep it safe from any bad people.
Inside the fort, there are many beautiful things to see. One of them is the mosque, which is like a big and pretty place where people can go to pray to God. It has a big dome on top that looks very grand and special.
There is also a big palace or building called the Diwan-i-Aam inside the fort. This was the place where the king used to have important meetings with his people. It has big rooms where everyone used to come and sit to talk about important things like making rules and solving problems.
But, there is something even more interesting inside the fort. There is a big unfinished palace called the Tomb of Pari Bibi. Pari Bibi was the daughter of the king's favorite wife. But her palace got unfinished because her mother, the queen, died. It is believed that she died while giving birth to Pari Bibi. So, the palace was left incomplete as a symbol of the king's grief.
Now, Lalbagh Fort is not used as a palace anymore. It has become a famous tourist spot where people from all over the world come to visit and learn about history. They can see the old buildings, walk around the gardens, and imagine how life was like when the king and his people lived there.
