Lantern Festival

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called China, there was a special festival called the Lantern Festival. This festival happened on the 15th day of the first month in their lunar calendar, which is when the moon is the biggest and brightest.

During this festival, people would make lanterns out of colorful paper and light them up with candles or light bulbs. Lanterns usually had different shapes like animals, flowers or even mythical creatures.

They would then gather outside with their families and friends and walk around, admiring the beautiful lanterns and taking part in fun activities like solving riddles written on the lanterns.

Some people would also release floating lanterns into the sky or set them free down the river, which was believed to bring good luck and happiness.

The Lantern Festival has been celebrated for thousands of years in China and is still celebrated today. It's a happy and colorful festival that brings people together and spreads good luck and happiness.
