Laser hair removal

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a laser pointer? Laser hair removal works kind of like that. The doctor or technician uses a special laser that shoots a beam of light at the hair. The laser light is really strong and concentrated, so it gets rid of the hair. Just like how a magnifying glass can make a tiny spot on the pavement get super hot from the sun, the laser light heats up the hair until it falls out.

But don't worry, it doesn't hurt too much. The person getting the laser hair removal might feel a little bit of pain or discomfort, but they can usually use numbing cream or cooling gel to make it feel better.

It usually takes a few sessions to get rid of all the hair in one area. That's because not all the hair is growing at the same time. Sometimes some of the hair is still growing while other hair is already gone. So the doctor or technician has to do laser hair removal a few times to make sure they get all the hair.

And once they're all gone, the hair usually doesn't come back for a long time, if ever! It's a really good way to make sure you don't have to shave or wax as often.
